Client website · John Reilly

A photography site John can keep current himself.

Galleries and service pages lead into a booking inquiry, with a CMS for updating photos and copy.

The John R Photo website

The job the site needs to do

John is an Ohio wedding and concert photographer. His site needs to show the photography, explain the services, and give someone a way to ask about a booking. It also needs to stay current as he has new work to share.

What I built

I handled the design, development, CMS integration, and copywriting. The public site brings together image-led galleries, dedicated service pages, and a four-step booking inquiry flow.

The editing side uses Sanity so John can manage photos and copy himself. The site is built with Astro and hosted on Cloudflare Workers.

From looking at photos to asking about a booking

The galleries show the work. Service pages give visitors context about what they can hire John for. The inquiry flow provides a next step when they are ready to get in touch.

The CMS covers the other side of that workflow: adding new work and updating the information visitors use to make that decision.

Where this approach fits

A portfolio or service business often needs these same pieces: examples of the work, clear service information, a useful inquiry path, and a way to keep the site up to date.
